Snow?? Really? I know all the babies will be delighted!

Mark is on the way back up, his white count really jumped yesterday - from .06 to .37. Can’t keep a good man down.

We spent the day at 7C again with Mark getting all kinds of good things - platelets, antibiotics, Benedryl (think this was for me) they really stay on top of it!! He slept a good bit in their big recliners. The biggest lesson we have learned in all of this is patience (hence the name patient). For two that have never “waited well” this has been a huge challenge. God has given us grace.

Deena , Mark’s APN, told him yesterday that the pain in his back was from the stem cells and blood he had received. She said he is doing very well! Of course he asks her everyday, “can I go home now?” So yesterday she said maybe next week. Very exciting new for us!

His appetite is waning, says everything taste wrong. He doesn’t even want Pistachio almond ice cream - a huge first- so of course I can’t let it go to waste - it is now on my waist. Thank goodness for all the supplements Jamie has sent - he is maintaining his weight.

We are hoping to see Tom and Debbie this week, he is back for him stem cell transplant. We pray all goes well for them. Donna called me after her doctors visit and said all looked good for her. She is not in complete remission, but almost there. May God continue to bless her and her precious family.

The thought of coming home is about more than we can stand - as the old saying goes - you don’t miss your water til the well runs dry. Speaking of which, how can our water bill be $45??? Is someone filling their pool at our house?

Thank you again for all your wonderful notes. I know everyone is so busy right now, it is especially wonderful to know that you have thought about us. Donna’s youngest son sang a beautiful new song for us at the clinic, I don’t know the name of it but the lyrics were about giving Christmas back, share your love and time. I feel like we get Christmas every time I open Caring Bridge.

    Stay warm, Karen
