Tom, Debbie and us

Like Mark says it feels like we have been let out of school! Well actually, he said out of high school football practice - Either way it feels really good.

Mark had labs at 7 this morning, then over to the clinic to visit with Dr. Nair. He said all looked good and to come back in three weeks for the stem cell transplant. After talking to “everyonel” concerned it was decided that we should come back in two weeks due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Mark really didn’t want to be in the middle of treatment and everyone take off for the holiday!

After his doctor visit it was back over to the hospital to get the much reviled CVL removed, then back to the doctor's office for paper work and consultations.

I am itching to pack for our trip back home. Mark isn’t allowed to pick up anything because of the line removal so I may just open the back of the truck and throw it all in! I am ready to hit the road. Hopefully we can leave early in the morning.

Thank you all for my wonderful Birthday wishes yesterday. Mark and I had a nice day beginning with arriving at the clinic an hour early because we forgot about the time change. At least we weren’t late! We were there before nurses or staff.
Mark and I had a great birthday lunch at Copeland’s with our friends Tom and Debbie. We love their food and the company was superb. We even succumbed to their fabulous desserts, after all it was for a birthday!! Tom should begin his stem cell collection very soon - he is really doing well. We are so happy for them. Some of you have ask about his blog. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/tommccullough/mystory

When Mark told his nurse, Allen, this morning that he had collected 30 million stem cells, Allen said he only needed a few of those and he could sell the others on E-bay. Allen is a brilliant nut! I think this is called comic relief - they keep us all smiling, God bless them.

Finally out of OZ,

We love you all

Karen
