Buzz cut

Mark has had his GI hair cut and is ready for battle. He is feeling much better as his blood counts continue to rise. His WBC is .13 today and our nurse keeps telling us that he should be ready by Monday or Tuesday to collect. He is still on infusers for antibiotics and magnesium and potassium - I am an old hat at changing this stuff now. He also still has his handful of pills plus one liquid medicine. I am making charts and have diagrams all over the apartment trying to keep all this in order. Quite a puzzle. I need John Thomas and Lillie Kate here to help me put it together.

I have sanitized the apartment again and bleached everything Mark touches - trying to kill anything that might make him sick. I sure don’t want him to catch anything. The nurses have told us that this digestive problem Mark has is due to all of his resistance being obliterated and the bacteria that is naturally in his digestive track just has a big party and goes wild.

We had an impromptu Alabama get together in the clinic waiting room today - one couple from Mobile, one from Anniston, us and a man that now lives in LR but is from Sand Mountain (think he is related to everybody in the county). The lady from Anniston has been going to LR for 8 years - very nice to see her! Funny how association makes you friends.

Calling it a day - love to you all
Karen
