Today was an all day-er at the clinic - the nurse apologized but I told her we had already canceled our decathlon training for the day because of the rain so no problem! Mark was feeling a bit better when we got there. He was given another liter of fluids plus 2 units of blood - big booster. By midday his back was really hurting. Those little stem cells finding their home and snuggling down to grow!

We had a very good nurse today - though they all are excellent - she told me that Mark was doing exceptionally well - above average (always the overachiever)! She believes the key to this is nutrition - she said he must be eating well. I told her that wasn’t a problem with him at this time!!

So many people volunteer their time and energy at the clinic. The lady that usually has her sewing machine there to embroidery things for people was today putting up the Christmas tree. Donna and her sweet family came by to sing a couple of songs before her doctors appointment this afternoon. There was quite a crowd today - the word must have gotten out of our talented Dunnams!

By the time we arrived at the apartment the sun was shining again - the sunset is right outside our living room window - so beautiful and reassuring that even with all the rain in our lives the sun will shine again!

Thank you so much for all your caring bridge notes. We get so consumed with the everyday life of Myeloma that it is wonderful to hear from the real world.

Much love, Karen
