The war continues, today’s battle win goes to the chemo. Mark is still puny - would give details but they are not “ready for prime time”. He reminds me of Buford, his beloved white bulldog, after the deer hunters poisoned him. He gets spunky when someone talks to him and would wag his tail if he had one - Buford didn’t have much of one either. The rest of the time he just lays around asleep or looking at me with those big eyes. Buford lived a good long life after his poison episode and Mark will too!

I try to get us in the bed by 9 - the early morning appointment is hard. We were late getting to bed last night with the infuser, meds and a bath, it was about 10:30. We had new neighbors move in upstairs last night around one AM. Being the kind Southern girl that I am, I made sure they were aware that they had downstairs neighbors when we were up at 2, 3, and 5. I am just nice that way.

We are back at the clinic, brought the computer this time - had a feeling it would be another long morning. We asked for the same fantastic nurse and she again has given Mark the royal treatment. He began with his cvl cover being changed, labs drawn, growth factor injection, and then an IV of fluids started. She checked all this labs from last night and ordered platelets, two more antibiotics, magnesium and potassium for him today and blood for tomorrow - she is so good! He is feeling better already.

His WBC went up to .04 - YEA! I know that is probably due to the antibiotics, but we will take it where ever it comes from.

Katie, Mark, and Belle Skyped us at the clinic - it was so wonderful to see and talk with them. Can’t wait until we can get that sweet little thing in our arms! Even though the wiggler won’t stay there long. We miss all our little ones (and big ones) so much.

It is a beautiful Sunday in LR, the sunrise was fabulous - a Van Gogh. I have always believed God lets his great artists paint the skies J .

We feel Gods presence with us, keeping us in his strong arms. Mark will be up and aggravating us all very soon!

Much love to you all,
Karen
