We are out of here.........

All of Mark's labs were great! He got his CVL out this morning and then to see the doc. He gave us a very good report - the myeloma is going away - YEA!! We will have to return for Mark's second transplant in a month. It will be the same as this time - chemo for 4 days and the transplant on the 5th.

Since Mark can't lift anything for a couple of days, I am again throwing stuff in the back of the truck. I am about finished for today - the sun is down and it is just too cold to run in and out. He wants to leave at day break, but I imagine as usual it will take me a bit to get it all together. Hopefully we can leave pretty early.

It was bitter sweet to leave 7C this morning. So many of our cohorts are still there and the looming holiday weighs heavy on them. We pray they will be dismissed very soon. The nurses are so good and are genuinely interested in our well being. They were excited that we were on our way home and gave us hugs and best wishes. They have done their job well!! Mark took Deena the wine and she was thrilled, I don't think she really believed he would follow through!

We didn't get to see Tom and Debbie today, he had his transplant yesterday. Sure hope he will bounce back soon and get home for Santa. They are precious friends.

Thank you all for prayers and support. Your love has brought us this far. We pray that a very Merry Christmas will be had by all.
Love,
Karen
